# Acropolis > Acropolis by Olimpia: an experimental, daemonless builder that turns an app's source code into an OCI image with no Dockerfile. A single Rust binary. Acropolis is an experimental app-to-OCI-image builder by Olimpia (https://olimpia.dev): a single Rust binary (`acropolis`) for Linux x86_64 and arm64 that detects the language and framework, downloads verified toolchains and dependencies, compiles, and assembles the image with no Dockerfile and no daemon. `acropolis build ./app -t registry/app:tag` pushes to a registry, `--oci image.tar` writes a tar for `docker load`, `acropolis plan ./app` prints the build plan. A single Rust binary, by Olimpia. - [Introduction](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/introduction): What Acropolis is, why we built it, and what it supports. - [Install](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/install): Release binaries for Linux x86_64 and arm64, verified with checksums and a GitHub provenance attestation. - [Usage](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/usage): The acropolis CLI. build, plan, cache, prewarm, inspect and gc, with their flags and exit codes. - [Configuration](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/configuration): Configure a build with acropolis.json or railpack.json and with ACROPOLIS_ or RAILPACK_ variables. - [How it works](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/how-it-works): No builder image, downloads that don't hang, a base that is never decompressed, small runtimes and portable caches. - [Running in production](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/production): One build per container, the builder image, privileges, network, caches and how a platform should react to each exit code. - [Benchmarks](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/benchmarks): Cold builds, rebuilds, image size and peak RAM of Acropolis against Docker and Railpack. - [Compatibility suites](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/compatibility): Acropolis is tested against other builders' published test suites, not only its own apps. - [Contributing](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/contributing): Build and test Acropolis, run the plan snapshots and the e2e, and open a pull request. ## Agent skills - [acropolis](https://acropolis.olimpia.dev/.well-known/agent-skills/acropolis/SKILL.md): Read the Acropolis docs instead of answering from memory.
